▹ A kiss on the cheek

"They seem to be getting along super well."

George threw his gaze over to the two dogs who were running around with each other playfully, both still connected to their leashes so that they don't get lost in the darkness of the field.

It was 1:30 am and despite being exhausted, George had decided that it was the perfect time to meet up with Chungha without being noticed — they both still wore disguises though just in case.

The crisp autumn air was like ice against George's cheek and he shoved his free hand in his pocket, the thin layer of his hoodie keeping him from absolutely freezing to death.

He did have a coat, but his father raised him to be a gentleman and so, he had passed it off to Chungha the second the temperatures dropped. She protested for at least eight minutes but George was adamant.

"Yeah, Pluto is super good with other dogs actually which surprised me," George explained watching his dog run around happily.

"Bambi looks so comfortable with him, it's adorable honestly."

George chuckled, he couldn't stop himself from glancing at her feeling his heart starting to pick up in pace when he took in her features. Her rosy cheeks lit up her pale face and the red nose made her look absolutely adorable.

"Hasn't anyone ever told you that staring is rude?" She teased.

"Hmm, sorry I was trying to come up with a way to tell you that you have a little bit of chocolate on your mouth."

Chungha gasped and brought her hand up to her lip but George smirked and looked away, it was then when she realized that he was just teasing causing her to slap his arm playful.

"Hey! Abuse."

"Don't be so dramatic."

"Dramatic is my middle name, Darling."

Darling. Though it was only meant to be said as a joke, Chungha couldn't help the way her heart melted especially since his accent sounded much thicker than what she was used to.

"You see that pole over there?" George pointed and Chungha followed his finger before nodding. "Race you to it."

With that, he took off running in the direction of the pole, Pluto following him. Bambi barked and Chungha began running after him, laughter falling from her lips as George purposely slowed down.

She quickly over took him and shot him a smirk before she felt a large impact followed by two loud barks and a laugh.

She had tripped and landed on the grass, Bambi tumbling down with her. Pluto ran over and began licking her face whilst George followed, tears leaking from his eyes.

"Oh my god! That was the funniest fall I've ever seen! You nearly broke your neck-" more laughter tumbled from his lips and he couldn't even finish his sentence.

Chungha continued laying on the floor, his laughter beginning to rub off on her. Small chuckles shook her body before she broke out into hysterics, genuine laughter coming out of her mouth.

George fell down onto the floor beside her, hunched over so that he was on his knees but his head against the grass.

Chungha scoffed and playfully pushed him over so that he was on his side.

"Oh my god that was hilarious," he spoke before wiping the tears from his eyes. "Are you okay?"

"NOW YOU ASK?"

"I'M SORRY I WAS CAUGHT UP! YOU FELL LIKE A FUCKING CARTOON."

Chungha sighed, a smile still on her face as George rolled onto his back beside her. The two of them stared up at the sky whilst their dogs laid down together beside them.
