~Jayy's Pov~
I watched as Lyric lost consciousness. I started to flip as she didn't respond. I ignored the pain in my leg as I shook her. Dahvie held Severon against the wall while Aussie spoke in a rushed tone on the phone. Lyric's breaths became strained and hollow. I frantically tried to help her. I gave her CPR while everyone shot me worried glances. I could see the smirk the Severon wore as he watched the scene. Then there were loud knocks on the door. Aussie answered it and paramedics rushed in. They loaded her onto the gurney and got her out of the bus. I followed after them as the police rushed into the bus. They allowed me to go with them. I sat beside Lyric with tears running down my face. I held her hand tightly in mine. I watched as she grew sickly pale and her body temperature drop. The paramedic put gauze on her neck to stop the bleeding. Once at the hospital, they rushed her inside. I followed them inside. A nurse looked at me worriedly.
"Sir, are you alright?" She asked.
That's when I started to feel dizzy. Then, I remember my bleeding leg. I had enough time too look down before I collapsed. I heard a lot of screams and frantic yelling. Multiple nurses and doctor's rushed over to me. Their voices became distant and black spots entered my vision. I felt pressure on my leg. The last thing I thought before I blacked out was Lyric.
...
I woke up to a slight beeping noise to my left. As my sense became more aware, the noise grew stronger. I opened my eyes and was immediately blinded by a bright white light. I groaned and shielded my eyes. When my eyes finally adjusted, I looked about the room. I noticed Dahvie sitting in the chair beside me. He was staring at the floor, mumbling something I couldn't comprehend. I lifted a shaky hand and placed my hand on his shoulder. His head snapped up and his eyes met mine.
"Jayy! Oh my god!" He stood up and bro hugged me tightly.
I winced slightly.
"Where is she? Where's Lyric? Is she alright?" I asked frantically.
I heard him sigh. I stared at him, waiting.
"She..." He trailed off.
Please tell me she's alright! Please, I beg of you! I thought. A nurse walked in and gasped as she noticed I was awake. She called a doctor in and he walked in.
"Mr. Griffis, how are you feeling?" He asked.
I growled, "Monroe!"
"Pardon?" The doctor asked.
"It's Monroe, not Griffis." I answered.
"Okay. How are you feeling?" He asked again.
"Fucking terrible." I groaned.
He and the nurse both shot me a sympathetic glance.
"Where's Lyric? What happened to her?" I asked.
The doctor exchanged glances with the nurse and sighed. He walked over and placed his hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, tears threatening to fall.
"She lost to much blood. She was very close to death when they brought her in. We had to give her multiple transfusions but her blood type is rare. She also had to get her neck stitched closed. When they brought her out of surgery, she wouldn't respond. I would be prepared to say goodbye. I am deeply sorry." He said.
I couldn't hold back anymore. I broke down instantly. Dahvie tried his best to comfort me. Tears poured down my face uncontrollably. The doctor patted my back.
"C-can I see her?" I stuttered, looking up at the doctor.
He nodded and helped me up. They placed me in a wheel chair and brought me to her room. When I laid eyes on her, my heart instantly shattered into a million pieces. She had who knows how many wires and tubed connected to her body. She had a needle in her arm, pumping blood into her body. Her body looked fragile, breakable. Her skin was pale as a ghost. She also had dark circles under her eyes. I listened to her monitors for a moment. Her heart beats were slow. Her breathing shallow. I wheeled myself closer to her. Tears flowed out of my eyes. I looked back at the doctor. He walked over and quickly looked her over.
"She had a lot of trauma done to her body." He said lowly.
I looked up at him.
"A girl came in earlier and explained what else the boy had done to her. She said the Ms. Coffin here was beaten and raped."
My eyes widened. I can't believe he did this to her. Ughh! And I was such an asshole to her.. I looked at her face.
The doctor cleared his throat.
"There's more though I'm not sure who you'd take it."
I looked up at him.
"What is it? Tell me." I said.
"It appears that she is expecting." He said.
My eyes flashed back to her, looking over her body.
"If she does make it, I'm not sure her body will tolerate the pregnancy. As of right now, it's a waiting game." He explained.
I nodded and he left, leaving me alone with her. I felt absolutely terrible. I can't believe they did this to her. Why would they do something like this to such a sweet girl. I could see all of the bruises they had left on her. I took a hold of her hand. It felt cold. I leaned forward and placed my forehead to the top of her hand. I hope she makes it. I can't live without her.
