Tend to your defences, keep them well barricaded. The weak spots, slipping tween' gaps implicated. Old wounds, where the breaching first hatched. Botched up by scar tissue and wary, detached. Cooped up till fear fastened, surpassing afraid. Heavily guarded by forethought concave. Steeped in deliberation, bound by the chain. How brazen, these great metal bars, so untamed. Holding the fort with your life if need be, nobody can reach me, my moats ten foot deep see, as you try to defend. By alliance to seek, fording my casings by knowing they're weak. Play the meek. Forget I'm entrenched when I'm hearing your call, makes me small. Makes me feel there's so far to fall, from my battlements, cast to crawl, I'm feeling spent. Lost causes imprison, accepting the ending as final remission. Letting them back in until lead to fruition. Holding back sins for when lacking ambition. I'm still keen to glisten, just take my hand and we'll see, if fortitude matters when I'll gladly see, myself sacrificed so relentlessly, lovingly all unsure and unsteadily. Next time you see me, I'll be the one screaming, "take it easy!"
