Mask your faults as a trial
No truth when there's only denial
Ignore my pleas of innocence
What knowledge? There's just ignorance.

"I know."

Ahsoka Tano walked down the steps of the Jedi Temple, tears streaming down her face. She was leaving everything behind, her family, her life, her home . . .what used to be her home.

She couldn't come back, not after what the Council did to her. The offer of being reinstated as a Jedi Knight seemed more like a bribe than an accomplishment.

"Oh, yeah, we kriffed up, but it was the will of the Force, so we're good, right?"

That was what Ahsoka thought of the Council's 'apology.'

I'm choosing to face the unknown
And leave behind what I once called my home
I have to believe I can do this alone
And learn to survive on my own.

What would she do now? Ahsoka wasn't sure, but she needed to find a new path to follow. A new life, without the Jedi, the clones, the war. . .without anything that tied her to her past.

How can I trust you again,
When you doubted me up to the end?
Eager to point out my flaws,
But your pride will come first before the fall.

"It is the Council's opinion that Padawan Ahsoka Tano has committed sedition against the Republic, and thus, she will be expelled from the Jedi Order."

Her whole life, she looked up to Master Plo, even considered him a father figure, but he didn't even hesitate to believe she was guilty. Master Kenobi, she couldn't believe he didn't even defend her during the trial.

Ahsoka trusted Barriss, she was her best friend, but she only used her to get away with her crimes. Why hadn't she sensed that her former friend was falling to the dark side?

"Your Padawan status will be stripped from you, and you shall forfeit all rank and privileges within the Grand Army of the Republic."

Hatred, helplessness, sadness, disappointment, those were all the things she felt during her biased trial. At this moment, she hated the Council more than anything. She gave her life to the Order, and they left her alone when she needed them the most. And they didn't even feel any remorse!

"You will be turned over to the Republic courts to await your trial, and whatever punishment they will set for you."

If it weren't for Anakin and Padmé, she would probably be dead. She never thanked them for everything they did . . .why did she leave them?

"Henceforth, you are barred from the Jedi Order.

She was no longer a Jedi or a commander; she was nobody. The Republic and the Jedi Order weren't what they said to be; maybe they never were.

'Keepers of the peace.' Ahsoka scoffed. They sent children to war!

"Snips, please . . . come back! You can't leave!" Anakin said through their bond.

"I'm sorry, Skyguy, but this is goodbye."

I'm choosing to face the unknown
And leave behind what I once called my home
I have to believe I can do this alone
And learn to survive on my own.
