sometimes when i wake
i see you there jace

soft snores echoing in a messy room
pale sunlight slipping in broken shutters
dirty clothes scattered on a carpet floor
grey sheets
thinning brown hair , a little long
blonde curls , a little tangled
small hands enveloping a smaller hand
a raspy good morning and a sleepy smile
blue eyes , bluer than the damn sea
when the world seemed so okay
so new and adventurous and euphoric
within your arms on a Sunday morning

sometimes i see you there
i'm starting to let you go
because it truly is no more
