Every time Marley Morrison heard those words, her will to live became a little more difficult to muster. If these were the best years of her life, she was truly fucked. Why, you may ask? Because Marley was cursed. She was absolutely certain of it. Fell things followed wherever she went. Tragedy struck whenever she opened her heart. And for that, she was done trying to be happy.
So when her mother broke the news that their recently-made family of three was moving back to her hometown— Hawkins, Indiana— that was pretty much the nail in the coffin. Marley couldn't wait to graduate and get the hell back to New York. Senior year was officially doomed.
Little did she know how accurate that sentiment really was.
