your skin feels cold against my own , but at least the comfort of another is there. i cannot stand to tell you no , yet my yeses leave me in shambles of an old relationship. i am not who i once was , and neither are you. yet you know i would drop everything and carry your life , your honor , your passion ... if it meant i could hold you once last time. you see my vulnerability and abuse it so you are not alone , but you will abandon me in the cold as soon as you find the strength.

this i know. this i know.

as i said before
it is funny how fate is foreshadowed
in the past , solitary , random emotions
that reside in our brains

uneasiness drips in the crevice
loneliness burrows in the carpet
insufficiency knocks at the walls
and fear sticks to the floors

i always saw this coming
but because i am human
i was blinded by the view of the sunset
and ignored the wreckage at my feet
