Ally was sitting on her bed texting her friend Alyssa. Carter was downstairs playing on their x-box. Their dad hadnt arrived at home yet. Ally called him.
"Drat, voicemail!" She said.
She called her mom next.
"Hello?" Mrs.Kennedy asked.
"Hi mom!"Ally said.
"What is it darling?"Mrs. Kennedy continued " I mustn't talk long. Im still at work. "
"Do you know when dad will be home?" Ally asked.
"No,"Mrs. Kennedy replied.
"Oh ok," Ally said.
"Goodbye I'll be home by 5:30," Mrs.Kennedy assured.
"Ok love you bye!" Ally said.
Mrs.Kennedy hung up. Ally was still really worried. She didnt know what would happen to her. She didn't know what happened to her dad. She was scared. Not the butterflies scared. Dead scared. She was to scared to tell Carter. So she just pretended like she put too much eggshell white foundation on. Yes. She was so scared she turned pale. She walked into the family room, where Carter was.
"Hiya Al!"Carter waved to Ally.
"Hi," Ally said.
"Something wrong?" Carter asked putting his game down.
"Nash. Just tired I guess," She avoided eye contact.
"Maybe you should get some rest then," Carter suggested after all he was older.
"Okay," Ally smiled up at her 16 year old brother.
Ally was only 13. So that means there's a 3 year difference between them.
Ring Ring RING RING
Ally's phone was ringing. It was her dad.
"DADDY!" She almost screamed.
"Actually this is Chad," The man on the phone said.
"Oh, hi Chad! But where's dad?" She asked.
