soft gazes in a purple ridden room
have never been so belonging
especially in the grasps of brown eyes

your grip around my waist
warm fingers climbing my back
soft lips on my neck
voices mixing in intimate choruses

riddled with laughter
your side of the bed
takes me home to a place
i hadn't known i belonged

a place where beauty blooms
amongst raging chaoses of a stormy mind
a place where flowers grow
in even the most interrupted soil
a place where patience runs
quicker, yet slower than gushing water

until you intricately grasped my hand
and led me through the dark
i was still afraid of the blank blackness
but now i see

my dear , i finally see
