The basic premise of this fic is set during/post the For the Future episode of The Owl House (spoilers btw). Gus and Mattholomule reconnect after having not seen or spoke to each other since The Day of Unity :]

A while after the "detention" instant, luz and gus are making a potion for willow help grow her sunflowers. (SUNFLOWERS NOW GROW ON THE BOILING ILES) when gus accidentally spills some on mattholomule and sunflowers start growing on his head. Litterly, but then he start acting energetic, bubbly, and happy when with gus...
