Kayden Elena Meyer is not one of the kids or teenagers you know at your own school. She never has been and never will. Kayden is not a soft and vulnerable teenager. She's tough and independent. There are lots of ways people have described her. Mean. Mad. Violent. Scary. Evil. And she might be, but she has a reason. She can control light. She can move it with her mind, hold it in her hands, reflect it off of herself to blind others, and even catch a ride to other places on Earth on beams of it. But one of her most impressive abilities with light is to bend it around herself so that she is invisible. But it isn't magic. It's science. There are changes in her genes that let her brain do different things than the average human. This has also made her a target for power-hungry humans. Now she is held captive with other teenagers just like her in a government funded jail and school. But controlling light isn't the only thing Kaydn's mind is capable of. An undercover rebel group contacts her. She agrees to help them save other genetically skilled teens with her light bending abilities. But after an almost fatal mission, Kayden realizes she's unlocked something new in her brain. But if she wants to have low security from the jail guarding her and still be able to help the other Genetics escape, she'll have to keep it to herself. And form a plan. But not everyone agrees that Kayden really has good intentions. After all, her nickname is "Harley Quinn 2.0"
