Dorian's life was taking a turn for the better. After many, many turns for the worse. In the past year she had lost both of her parents and her younger brother in a tragic car accident, and being in the city became too much for her. In their last will and testament, Abigail and Jakob Adair had left Dorian, among other things, their cottage far in the countryside. And so she decided to move there, away from all the pain that lay behind her, to live in the woods far removed from civilization. But upon living there but a few days, Dorian discovers that this family heirloom of a cabin holds more secrets than she was prepared to admit. Among them how leprechauns steal all the bread she makes, faeries try to claim her herbs, and a merman keeps washing ashore, promising wishes and the treasures of old.
