A young just-discovered, newly out of the closet rockstar heads out on her first solo tour, going from place to place seeing crowds of over a thousand nearly every night she plays. One night, fifty miles outside of her home town in Kansas she spots a girl, probably seventeen or so, front row VIP access, no parent in sight. How does one young girl fall into the eyes of this rockstar, and what causes her to realize the urgent need of a true parent and mother figure enough to open her doors for the girl to live with her after just one night. Kaylee-Mae's mother is a drug addict, an alcoholic and avid gambler ever since Kaylee can remember. One night during a manic episode, her mother buys concert tickets and two thousand dollars worth of other items that aren't of use, the next morning her nother is lucid and notices the items she had bought. Knowing Kaylee loves the artist, she agrees to let her go but with one condition; Kaylee must leave and never associate with her mother ever again after this night. The evening comes and Kaylee has packed everything she possible can into two small duffle bags, walking out of the house she looks back on her childhood, though it wasn't a great one it still was hers and nobody can take that from her.
