Amelia Barnes: Winter's daughter

(I know the Winter Soldier's daughter fanfic has been slightly overdone but bear with me.)

My name is Amelia Barnes. I was adopted by Bucky at age fourteen. My origin story before then is unknown, even to me. I didn't know my parents; all I knew was my mother died giving birth to me and my father was a soldier with PTSD who committed suicide before my mother knew she was pregnant with me. I had a twin brother named Jonathan, but he was adopted by a different family. I didn't get to tag along; I had a few issues.

When I was adopted by Bucky, I was told to respect all soldiers, or at least, all soldiers fighting for our side. He told me everything about the Winter Soldier and his tragic backstory. I guess I didn't really care, I was just happy to get out of that goddamned orphanage.

Now, I'm eighteen. I joined the army. That's where the story begins, I guess.
