Winter Delaney is known for being shy, introverted, and reserved, basically a girl who keeps to herself most of the time. She spends most of her days either at school, the library, or locked in her room reading books or writing poems. She doesn't have any friends because she's not good at making them. She doesn't even know what the word 'fun' means because she has never actually experienced fun. Her grandma was the only one out of the entire family who was bothered the most about this in Winter, which is why when she passes away right before summer, she leaves behind a letter for Winter, a list of all the things she did during her summer as a teenager, a list that she wants Winter to achieve as her last wishes. All she ever wanted was for Winter to live her life, even if that meant leaving her behind a list of instructions on how to have fun during the summer.
