A not-so-simple story about a group of friends that live in Brooklyn, and their trials and tribulations over the years. As the story begins at the beginning of the 21st Century, a songwriter and former musician from Sheepshead Bay named Matt mulls his future after selling out into advertising and losing that job. Matt lives with his grandparents and his wife Penny. Penny's brother Pete used to be in Matt's band before it broke up in the mid 1990s. Matt's aunt Violet and his friend George work at a financial service company at the World Trade Center. George's wife Keyshia is a nurse at Coney Island Hospital. George and Keyshia's friend Tom (an estranged distant relative of Matt) is in his 3rd year as an officer with the New York Police Department who along with his wife Ashley are handling twin newborns at their small Upper West Side apartment. Tom's cousin Todd is a former Brooklynite who moved back to Detroit with his young son Brian after an ugly divorce. On a sunny Tuesday in September, their lives will be forever altered. This is the first story in my series of works about a few characters from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. It would be nearly impossible to write anything about early 21st Century New York without mentioning some of the events that occur in this particular story.
