❝I've been seeing angels in my living room, that have walked the sun and have slept on the moon.❞ Notably, schools across the United States and generally around the rest of the global at least mentioned the names Steve Rogers and Dr. Eleanor Vance. Their faces were plastered across the pages of history books, their legacies forever sealed into the minds of people who lived through the second world war and the later generations who grew up hearing the stories. Like the legendary tales of their heroism and their undeniable dedication for the side of good, their deaths were just as well-known. In 1945, Rogers, also known as Captain America, plunged a HYDRA-infiltrated deep into the Arctic ocean in an effort to stop the denotation of nuclear weapons. His sacrifice not only saved the city of New York, but the rest of the world from mass destruction. In 1953, Dr. Vance, still continuing her alias as 'Angel' though not yet as acclaimed in the public eye, mysteriously vanished along with her team on a ship off the coast of Argentina. Through her public revelation of escaped Nazis and her unrelenting fight against terrorism, the world was saved from the reemergence of the Third Reich. They lived on not only as war stories of courageousness, but as saviors of remarkable and mysterious circumstances. It served as a posthumous tribute ― until nearly seventy years later, a very much alive Eleanor Vance is washed up in Argentina and not twelve months later, an equally alive Steve Rogers wakes up from ice in New York City.
