I always knew that there was something about me that set me apart from my peers. When I was little, I knew things about people that I couldn't explain. Things about who they really were, on the inside.
It scared them, so they ostracized me, never inviting me to birthday parties, never playing with me during recess. It hurt, but it hurt more because, at the time, I didn't understand why at the time. I just thought I was weird or something.
