Always looking for love in all the wrong places, Monika has been hurt multiple times. She's been hurt more than she would like to admit to anybody. Her trust in everyone has been lost, and the only person she's ended up having faith in is herself; and even that was debatable sometimes. She's only twenty-two and she's already had her fair-share of the cruel place called earth. She couldn't say she hated life completely; she loved having such amazing, and supportive friends...like her housemate, Shane, and her other friends who were lesbian as well. Shane is a little more special to her though. Mostly because she was there or her when Monika needed her most; emotionally and, at times, sexually. She couldn't exactly what their relationship was, but she liked the way it was. Kristen is that girl that your mom has warned you about. She stays out passed two in the morning, getting drunk and high just so she could forget about her wretched past. She makes girls fall in love with her just so she could leave them the morning after. In the midst of trying to make things work with Kristen, Shane begins making it hard by becoming jealous of the pair. She's never gotten jealous before, and certainly she has never felt the way that she feels about Monika. But will Shane's playgirl reputation lead Monika to never girl her a chance? Just when Shane thinks it's hopeless, will Monika surprise her?
