In a secondary school in Belfast, Northern Ireland, lower sixth Terrence Flynn and upper sixth Chase O'Connell are strangers, operating in quite different social spheres. Chase is 18. Having moved on from a rather toxic ex, He's settled, popular and happy with his two closest friends, Maggie and Billy. Terrence is 17, he has his own best friend Frank, but struggles with his personal identity and fitting into the dynamic of his friend group and societal expectations, especially his nemesis Conner Moore.
