Ethan went to boarding school every year, he didn't love it but it was better than staying home. Every year it was the same, maybe some new classes but he kept the same routine, same friends, and same self-loathing behavior.

Things change when Julian starts extending St. Eve's Academy. Everything about him draws Ethan in, his dark hair and sickly pale skin, his quiet demeanor, and his dark eyes that always stared at him.

Ethan goes out of his way to talk to him but Julian prefers to keep to himself.

A tale as old as time, two kids stuck together at some school, two kids with bad families, and two kids who need each other but have to work past their own issues to finally be happy.

"So?"

"So... You'll get sick."

"Now you care if I get sick?" Ethan gave him an amused face, a smile tugging at his lips.

"No," Julian sighed composing himself, "Do you want to smoke or not?" Julian said with an edge to his voice.

"Sure," Ethan raised his eyebrows
and followed Julian outside.
