"I'm not one of them." Hiccup declared to the dragon, and threw his helmet to the ground, to the confused and stunned gasps of the surrounding Vikings. He stole a glance up at his father, and everything felt like it'd falter before he tore his sight away and focused in on the dragon again. He wanted them to see this. He needed them to see this. They needed to see this. ----- Hiccup is pretty average. If by average you mean he's, to quote himself, "a talking fishbone," is constantly destroying the village, and he's never killed a dragon when everyone else has. And just to top it all off, he's the son of the chief as he struggles with all this. There's a lot to live up to on Berk. Especially when he finds out he couldn't kill a dragon. And everything that comes after it.
