Cedric is dead. Voldemort is back. Everything Harry knew was coming is suddenly here much faster than he was ready for, and there's still so much he hasn't figured out. Like the way Cedric's presence always made his heart light up. And now it's too late to explore it, no way to know what that feeling meant... Unless there's someone else who creates the same reaction. It's not the same warmth that came from Cedric, this one has a sharper edge, but it might be just as good. If he's willing to take the risk on someone who he thought hated him. --------------- Draco knows that there's something wrong with him. His father made that very clear years ago, there's a right way to be and there's a wrong way. Marry a pureblood girl, continue the bloodline, don't be a failure. Definitely don't fall in love with the boy who ruined your family's chance at greatness before he was old enough to talk. Or any boy ever, for that matter, just definitely not that one. But Draco has hardly been able to take his eyes off the boy with the lightning scar since their first year, and it's getting harder to convince himself that what he feels for the the kind hearted Gryffindor is hatred. The one problem, even if he admits to it, he might have already damaged that relationship too much to save. All characters and world belong to J.K. Rowling, obviously.
