I had to write a personal memoir in English class, so I decided to make it about my best friend Alexia. (I honestly just took a few parts out of the story for the preview, just so you know) Preview "People cry, not because they are weak, but because they have been strong for too long." Someone told that to me once, when I was 11. But what I am going to talk about is completely different. It's the time I realized every life matters. "Hey Emily, my mom said you have to go take a shower." "But Hannah! You know I hate the shower. There is spiders down there!" "I know, but my mom said that you have to." "Hey Hannah? Will you come and sit outside the door and make sure no spiders try to eat me?" "Do I have to? You know I hate sitting down there waiting for you!" "I know but I'm your favorite cousin so you always do it anyways." After getting the all clear from her, no spiders, I walked into the HUGE bathroom. I put on music and take a shower. Soon I hear my cousin singing along to my music. It was amazing. It reminded me of when we were 9 and we would go down there and sing and dance. Fun times. I get out of the shower and look slightly at my phone to turn off my music and I see a text from Alexia. Again, I thought nothing about it. Just that she was busy and just now got the chance to text me. Everything was okay. No problems that night. The only thing that was concerning me, was what bedtime snack I was going to have. Just as I'm going to leave the bathroom and tell Hannah I was done, I look down at my phone. I see 'Hey Emily, this is Alexia's aunt, she is fine.' and immediately drop to the floor. Because if her aunt was texting me, she wasn't fine.
