"Yeah, think they're in love with each other." * * * Lennon Abernathy is a bad person. At least in her opinion she is. She doesn't recycle, she rarely talks to her elder relatives just to avoid any awkwardness, and she always seems to be copying her Calculus homework from her classmates. After a uplifting seminar from a leukemia survivor, Lennon takes the chance to redeem herself by signing up for The Sibling Project, an organization that assigns people to a leukemia patient in aid to their possible recovery. There she meets Alice Newbury, a seven year old patient with more life than expected. Also meeting her actual sibling, Young Newbury, an angry, impenetrable boy with impenetrable walls. Through their time together, Lennon becomes determined to break down his harsh exterior, and uncover the true, Young Newbury. But this isn't a story of being in love.
