Alexander Devereaux has always been a wallflower. Even when he shoots to soccer prodigy status in his senior year of high school, he remains socially inept and deathly afraid of the spotlight. Halfway across the country is Blue Anderson, a boy who writes politically satirical comics that have gone viral. He is a quiet extrovert, a chameleon of feelings. The very same year Alexander shoots to soccer superstardom, Blue is forced to change his life, moving across the country to live with his grandfather. He's lonely and he's grieving, the death of a close loved one still marching on in his heart. Everything changes once Blue shows up in Alexander's sleepy town. Blue is many things Alexander is not and Alexander is shocked the know that Blue finds him genuinely interesting. However, the boys' classmates are quick to homophobia and racism and any newfound happiness may be over before it has even truly begun. [Title from This is Gospel by Panic! at the Disco]
