7 April 2011 7.02p.m. Boston, Massachusetts When Caleb Halls was involved in a fatal car crash, Emily Burgundy was heartbroken. Desperate. Distraught. Depressed. Hopeless Ruined. To her, the pain that caught up to her was like alcohol. It was like she was addicted to it. She would drink it up everyday. It would be in her veins. Flowed through her veins like blood. Unsure of what to do, she took to writing. It was something that she had always loved to do. She wrote in the form of letters; to try to cope with the hurt. The pain. Everything. To her, it was her escape. An escape from a reality which still haunts her everyday. This is her story.
