Stan was taught the good from the bad by his grandmother. It was through her that he saw the world. Everything was laid out after all the scrapes. All were labeled and easy to understand. He had to do things all by his lonesome thinking that all with him were knowledgeable when in fact they were clueless as he was - only they had a head start.
