Mae's POV:

Nakarating na kami sa venue at agad kaming sinalubong ng napakaraming reapers ni Lucas. Tinignan ko siya pagkababa namin.

"Why bring so many?"I asked.

"It's for you,baby."he said and I just rolled my eyes because of the cringe.

Nagtaka ako nang pumwesto sa kaliwa ko si Clifford at si Lucas sa kanan ko. Nasa magkabilang likod ko naman si Zed at Lexter kaya ang puwesto namin ay para nakaharang sila at prinoprotektahan ako. Napatingin ako kay Lucas dahil alam ko siya ang may pakana nito.

"Lucas..."I called him. He looked at me and leaned to kiss my head.

"I won't let anyone hurt you,my wife." he said and I just smiled at him.

Pumila ang lahat ng reapers ni Lucas sa magkabilang gilid sa harap namin. Lumakad na kami sa red carpet na nakalatag habang ang mga reapers ni Lucas ay nakaprotekta samin.

Pagkapasok namin ay agad na nagtinginan ang mga tao dahil sa dami ng reapers na nakapalibot samin at nagbulungan din sila dahil kay Lucas,ang pinakamalakas na mafia boss.

Kita ko ang takot sa iba kahit nakamask sila dahil sa paglapit namin ay siya ring paglayo nila mula sa amin. Pumunta na kami sa assigned seat namin at umupo doon.

"Clifford."tawag ni Lucas kay Clifford kaya napatingin ako sa kanya. Nagtaka ako nang makita kong tumango lang si Clifford at umalis na sa upuan niya.

Taka kong tinignan si Lucas dahil ni isa sa kanila ay walang sinabi sa akin tungkol sa plano nila.

"Hey, what's the plan?"bulong ko kay Lucas.

"Just look at the front and wait."he said without looking at me. Tinignan ko naman yung dalawa at nagkibit-balikat lang sila kaya napanguso ako.

Si Lucas,Zed at Lexter ay nakatingin lang lahat sa harap kaya napatingin din ako doon. May stage sa harap at mga upuan na hindi ko alam kung para kanino. Kinalabit ko nang mahina si Lucas kaya tumingin siya sakin.

"Whose seats are those for?"I asked.

"For the Elders."he said.

"Elders?"I asked.

"They have the highest authority in the Mafia world."he said and I just nodded.

Napatingin ako kay Clifford na papalapit na sa amin. Dumiretso siya kay Lucas.

"He's here."he told Lucas and Lucas just nodded. Tumingin naman siya kay Lexter at tumango si Lexter at siya naman ang umalis. Mas lalo akong naguluhan.

"Tangina."bulong ko na lang sa sarili ko dahil wala akong maintindihan.

"Who's here?"I asked.

"Mikael."Zed said and I smiled at him for answering my question. Clifford went back to his seat.

"Baby..."Lucas called me.

"Why?"I asked.

"After the Elders enter and sit,there will be a performance. You need to leave with Zed right after that performance end. I'm sure things will be very chaotic and I want you out of that so...I need you to leave."Lucas told me.

"What? I can't just leave you here."I said.

"Baby,that is the only way I can protect you."he said.

"No. I won't leave."I said.

"You must leave. I can't lose the one I love again..."he said and I quickly got silent. I thought of it for a minute then told him my decision.

"Okay. I'll leave."I said and he smiled and kissed me.

After a few minutes,the Elders entered the venue. As soon as they got in, I shivered because of the aura that they're giving. It's so strong and scary that you can only look at them. They sat on their seats and one of them made a speech first,then the performance started.

I saw the Elders leave their seats when it was the middle of the performance. I looked at Lucas and leaned on him to ask a question.

"Why are they leaving?"I asked.

"They must leave before the performance ends because things will be messy right after it. This party is actually a test to determine who will be the most powerful mafia in the entire mafia world. The Elders will be observing the fight in a secluded area and determine who will win the title." he said and I just nodded.

Right after the performance, Lucas looked at me, signaling me to leave with Zed. Zed stood beside me and signaled me to leave with him.

I bit my lip and went to Lucas. I kissed him and hugged him tightly. I looked at him and held his face.

"Don't get killed, hubby. Come back to me. I'll be waiting."I said and a tear fell from my eye. I kissed him for the last time and left with Zed.

We went out of the venue and went inside the car. Zed started the car and we left. I looked back at the venue and cried as I look at it.

Come back safely to me,my husband...

Lucas's POV:

Pagkaalis na pagkaalis ni Mae ay tinignan ko na si Clifford na kasama ko.

"Is he already there?"I asked.

"Yes, Lexter is already in the computer room."he said and I nodded.

Sinuot na namin ang earpiece namin at agad kong kinausap si Lexter.

"Where is he?"I asked.

"Third floor, hallway. He's fighting Scorpio from Poisonous Mafia."he said.

"Copy."I said. I looked at Clifford and he nodded.

Clifford is assigned to kill the other mafia boss and Lexter is tasked for the hacking. Zed is assigned to be my sniper as soon as he comes back here.

Nilabas ko na ang baril ko at agad kong pinagbabaril ang mga mafia reapers ng ibang mafia. Lumaban na din ang napakaraming reapers ko.

Dumiretso ako sa elevator at agad na binaril ang papasok sana doon na mafia boss. Hinarangan ako ng mga mafia reapers ko para makapasok ako nang maayos sa elevator. Pinindot ko na ang third floor at agad akong nakarating doon.

Pagkabukas ng elevator ay agad kong nakita ang lalaking kanina ko pa hinihintay at pinaghahandaan.

Nakangisi niya akong tinignan na parang dumating na ang kanina niya pang hinihintay. Malamig ko siyang tinignan nang bitawan niya ang hawak niya sa leeg na si Scorpio at binaril ito sa ulo. Tinignan ko siya nang napakalamig at nginisian.

"I've been waiting for you,my dear brother"

"It's nice to see you again,Mikael"
