"Mom please we haven't eaten in days, "I begged my mother

I coughed a Lil as the smoked filled my lungs

This bitch stay smoking them damn cancer sticks

"Girl here get the fuck out my face."She said handing me a 5 dollar bill

"Now you know damnnnnnnn well," I said running out of her room knowing she was about to punch me in my shit

I smacked my teeth  knowing this wasn't enough for both me and maliyah

But I really didn't care about if I ate or not I wanted to make sure my sister had something in her stomach

"Where you going with that shit on."

I jumped hearing my foster dads voice, a chill ran down my body

"I u-uhhh I'm getting some food for me and liyah, "I mumbled lowly

He roughly snatched my face making me look at him

"When I get back you better be in that fucking room and I don't wanna hear no crying neither."

I held my tears back not wanting to show my emotion

I've grown to hide my tears because the more I cry the more pain I go through

I just nodded and walked off to liyahs room

I crouched down to her level "Liy liy wake up."I said to her

She woke up coughing I could tell she was sick her nose was running and her voice sounded bad

I groaned

"sissy it hurts."She said coughing

"ill get you some medicine ok just get up so we can eat."

"But I thought you said we weren't using that money anymore."She said

"We have to you sound really sick."

She nodded clutching on to me I picked her up making her sure she was stable on my arm

I grabbed the rest of my money out of the lil bottle we had

She laid her head on my shoulder as I walked her out of the house and going to the corner store

"Hi, uncle Jones."I greeted once we walked in

I recently found out Jones was my uncle he was my birth moms dads brother

I would ask about my mom a lot but he really didn't know much about her except me

He smiled at us "Hey baby girl how's everything?"

"Good you think I can get a job here I know I'm only 13 but I need the money."
