It has been a week since I joined Jessica to try and come up with a plan to try and convince people to save an ancient tree from being cut down.
So, we were currently in the room for the Daily Planetoid school's newspaper. Which is where Lois Lane works at along with her partner Jimmy Olsen.
We were just finishing up the flyers on a column that we planned out called "EnviroBeat".
"I hope this works." I said.
"Trust me, Y/n. It will." Jessica said.
Once they were printed out, we took them and hung some up at first, but then we gave the rest to the students here at the school.
Once they were all gone, we headed to the cafeteria and gave the very last ones to our friends.
"Well, it looks like people are finally starting to read our "EnviroBeat" column." Jessica said.
However, everyone stopped eating and there was now silence. Leaving us both confused.
"What?" Me and Jessica both asked.
Barbara then finished slurping her noodles and pointed in a direction.
We both turned our heads and saw that people have been throwing away our flyers.
This left us in shock.
"For real?" I asked.
"Oh, Jess and Y/n, sorry, but your column might just be a lost cause." Zee said.
I hate to admit it, but she could be right about that. I had some doubt before Jessica and I both started working on this.
However, Jessica grunted and said this while showing Zee the flyer.
"There's no such thing as a lost cause! That's literally the name of our latest article."
Then, she began walking over to the trash bin. But while she wasn't looking, Zee crumbled up the flyer.
"Are you kidding me, Zee?!" I asked in frustration.
This made her jump.
Then, she looked and saw me giving her an angry look.
I was watching the whole time.
"Uh.... sorry?" Zee asked.
"You better be sorry. Jessica and I both worked hard on this. At least show some support." I said and left to go help Jessica.
"You could have at least recycled, you animals!" Jessica said.
"Yeah!" I said.
We both stuffed them into the recycle bin. Because people have been throwing them into the trash bin.
"Huh?" Jessica asked.
We both then saw a mischievous student crumple up a flyer and was about to throw it.
This caused the both of us to start guarding the trash and recycle bins.
"Don't you dare!" We both said.
Even though he was warned, he threw the crumbled up flyer.
However, it went over us while also missing the bins. We both watched as it landed on the back of a girl's head. We then looked at her and noticed that she wasn't even fazed.
But then the mischievous student began laughing. This caused us both to growl at him which made him stop.
"Beat it!" I yelled.
He then left.
Me and Jessica looked back at the girl again as more crumpled up flyers were thrown at her, but it didn't look like she cared at all.
