I remember the day you left
Saying that you'll be home soon
Days passed and so did the years,
Dragging me into the valley of fears

I remember the alley we last waked together,
And you promised that it'll last forever
So now I know that forever meant never.

I remember our last shared smile
Which was such a precise lie.
Have you left me with anything except to bray?
Saying to be back within a day!

I remember our last hug
That aromatic breeze so fair,
Like lavenders bloomed in air
I've slept in the closet since that day,
Hoping the smell should never fade away.

I remember when I got your last call
And I knew it was not you behind the wall.
You were my only patron, my only guide and my single ray of light.
So how can he take you with such a pride?

I remember walking past your grave
Remembering the memories which not even death could erase.

I took lavenders with me,
It wasn't ironic you see
To have you still with me
