we're got visitors

kaitlyn's pov

i wake up late the next day. i went to bed around 5 in the morning the night prior so i slept until about 2 in the afternoon today.

i make my merry way downstairs. i hear voices as i walk down the stairs and into the main entrance of the house.

unfamiliar faces are gathered in the kitchen. i cautiously walk into the kitchen hoping that nobody really notices me.

"hey, katie." griffin greets.

shit.

"uh hey. who are all of you?" i ask curiously to the random people in front of me.

"kaitlyn, these are my old high school friends." jaden hesitates.

"oh hey. i'm kaitlyn." i greet them all still not knowing who the fuck they are.

"i'm bridgette and this is my wife aaliyah." some red haired girl says to me who i'm guessing is bridgette.

"i'm aaliyah. nice to meet you!" a light skinned black girl greets me.

i smile at the two girls and turn towards jaden.

"that's brennan." jaden points to the only other boy standing in our kitchen.

"what's up, lil girl?" brennan asks me.

"i'm seventeen." i sigh.

"so you're a little girl." brennan teases.

"yeah yeah whatever." i roll my eyes at him.

"i'm just messing with you." brennan chuckles.

"and you are?" i turn towards a tanned long curly haired hawaiian looking girl.

"i'm malia, jaden's ex." she speaks.

"oh, so you're malia? i'm kaitlyn, his girlfriend." i shrug.

"jaden, you didn't tell me that you had a girlfriend." malia smirks at jaden.

"i was getting around to it." jaden sighs as he defends himself.

"yeah, we've been dating for four months." i say proudly.

"almost as long as jaden and i when we dated." she mentions.

girl, who cares?

"jaden dated mads the longest though." i add just to piss her off.

"who's mads?" malia questions.

"his other ex girlfriend. he met her a month after you two broke up and they dated for a year and a half or whatever." i shrug as if it's information she should've known already.

"i thought you were single during that time? you came to tennessee and we met up and you said you were single." malia calls him out.

"mads and i broke up like ten times. we were on a break so yeah, technically i was single so stop trying to catch me on some false lies." he shakes his head at her.

"hey, just trying to make sure you're being loyal. that's all." she defends her word.

"loyal." he chuckles.

"what's that suppose to mean?" she asks with a slight attitude.

"don't pretend like you didn't cheat on me with that girl named ingrid or whatever." jaden boldly says out loud which earns a gasp from josh.

"i didn't cheat on you." she lies.

"then prove all of those text messages that ingrid sent to me. she had your flipping nudes. that's cheating." he chuckles in an angry way.
