You woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a key turning. Childe! You raced towards the door to greet him but little did you know, this was about to get dirty.
You opened the door and greeted him with your usual smile. "Welcome ho-" your cheerful expression shifted slightly, quickly turning into a fearful one as you took a closer look at him. His mask covered the side of his face, his hair covered his eyes. His hand held his Bow.

You stepped back.

"Childe..?" Your voice shook a bit. Never had you seen Childe's murderous Demeter. Sure he was dark sometimes during work, but it was nothing like this. This time it looked like he was out for Blood.
He ignores your call and walks in, backing you up against a wall. He slammed one of his hands beside your head, his arm leaning over your shoulder. You shuttered a bit and refused to look directly at him.
"Y/N" His voice was unfriendly and serious.
Your body refused to stop shaking and trembling. Your brain had given into the fear, the fear of the Childe you never knew existed. His dark persona. His dark side. The side he would refuse to ever show to his family, or you.

You felt his hand lift your chin to look at him directly in the eyes. For once those eyes of ocean blue, now looked like they were filled with cloudy mist. Swallowing his glamorous eyes into the pitiful darkness. Like being consumed by the shadows of the dark abyss.
You couldn't make out his facial features very well in the dark setting of the night. You felt his hot breath against your face, making you tremble as it combated the sheer coldness of your body. So much cold it was almost as if you had already perished, and had been reincarnated as a zombie. His breath almost stung, burning you. His gaze sent different signals, however, his icy old stare. Paired with his lifeless eyes, sent glacier shivers down your spine.

"This is the part where I kill you"

Your eyes widened with surprise. But you knew one day this time would come, the time of your death. The day Childe was forced to kill you because of your knowledge. The day the Fatui finally would catch up to you both. And one would have to end up dead. Or both of you would. Even though you knew this inevitability, something still hurt inside you. The small sliver of hope that maybe you could be a happy family. And escape the Fatui. That hope, shattered to pieces as the harsh, and cold reality, comes crashing down on you.
You couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
"I know. I've always known. You've always known too. Even the older siblings have known. I thought we could escape, but I guess not. I know what's about to happen, Just get it over with... Please..." Your voice shook and cracked. With fear or with sadness, maybe a mixture of both. You couldn't bear to look at him, and you closed your eyes a bit. A deep sadness, along with a dim flame of hope flickering through your conscience, hoping that if you closed your eyes, you would wake up from this nightmare you called reality. But of course, it was reality. Everything was real.
You silently thanked yourself for putting Childe's sibling to bed earlier. They won't have to witness what will soon happen. At this point, You were truly begging for him to kill you. To make it Painless, and Quick. You knew that any other Fatui member would have made your death living hell. You would want to die so badly, you would probably beg them out loud.

You heard the sound of a water blade being formed, you squeezed your eyes shut and braced for the pain.

Instead of pain, you felt something else.

You slowly opened your eyes. His lips were pressed against yours in an aggressive, but also gentle manner to your surprise. You were shocked and didn't know what to do. You were frozen in place.
You'd been in a relationship with Childe for years but never had either of you truly confessed. You never needed to. You both knew your love for each other. You both just instinctively knew where both of you stood in the relationship, and Where the relationship was going. You never needed to show it through such public displays of affection, especially when his siblings or co-workers were around.
