Valda Stark is the second oldest of the Stark children, excluding Jon Snow. The little sister of Robb (and Jon respectively), and the older sister to Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon. Born 282 AC to Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn Stark.

Valda was raised by her mother and father to be the mother to her people- seeing as she was the oldest female of the Stark children and would one day become a queen in the North- no matter if Rob married and ruled the land, Valda would always keep the interest of the North as a top priority.

Seeing that Ned Stark was close friends with Robert Baratheon, and Robert always wanted to unite the houses (his love for Neds little sister, Lyanna, compelling almost all his decisions), Robert and Ned arranged for Roberts wife's (Cersi) youngest brother and Neds eldest daughter to marry.

The union of the two houses was close to that of a future king and queen being married- but seeing as Robert and Cersi's children were first in line to the throne that would never be.

The youngest of Tywin Lannisters children, Marcel, and the eldest Stark daughter married at 16. Both being 19 when King Robert Baratheon died.

Unlike the marriage between Robert and Cersi the love is reciprocated on both sides

Unlike the marriage between Robert and Cersi the love is reciprocated on both sides. The two are a united front and although Marcel has immense love for his family and his house his loyalty lies with Valda and her family-unbeknownst to his family (the Stark parents watched Marcel grow from a child and Ned Stark had a heavy influence in his childhood as the marriage was arranged when the two were young and Robert would send his youngest brother in law to Winterfell a handful of times over the years- even to the despise of Tywin sending his son to the North).

Valda and Marcel live and rule over Casterly Rock while also making visits periodically to Kings Landing and Winterfell. The ruling over Casterly Rock was agreed upon by King Robert and Tywin Lannister- the former glad that his blood would be ruling over it instead of a random Lord that was loyal to the Lannisters. Tywin believes that loyalty only runs so deep- and that blood runs deeper.

Valda Stark is a force to be reckoned with and may the Gods help anyone who dares challenge her.
