Chapter 3: Hunters

I woke up in a bed. I got up and walked to the door. I turned the knob and jumped back.

Monster's Dust.

I picked up the sheet and covered my hand with it. I opened the door and walked out. The floor also had monster's dust so I teleported to the other side. I went to the stairs that was next to me and heard the conversation.

"Can we keep it?" A kid asked.

"No it is dangerous." A strong, older voice said.

"She shouldn't be called an it." A young female voice said.

Thank you, someone actually appreciates a past human. I made myself invisible and walked downstairs. The older woman stopped and walked upstairs. The young girl looked straight at me and smiled.

I am invisible, she can't see me. Unless, she has the gift. Only boys have it though which is strange. Let me tell you the "basics" of the gift. A male gets the gift everything the previous gift holder dies, which makes it strange on how this girl has the gift.

The older woman walks downstairs and the girl breaks my gaze. The woman told the girl to find me. The girl agreed and went searching even though she already knew where I was.

"Bree is getting out of hand. She doesn't believe monsters are treats so she won't help us." The woman said.

"She needs to be taught a lesson, mother." A kid said.

Mother? How did she have kids if there isn't any men around here?

"Honey, I have some materials." Oh now I know how she had kids.

I looked out the window and saw the girl looking at me in pain. I teleported to the girl and saw a cut. It was gushing out maroon blood and I ran inside. I grabbed some medicine that I could get my hands on before anyone noticed I was in the house.

I ran to the girl and applied some of the medicine I got on the cut. I added some cold to the cut and wrapped a bandage around the cut. I tried to learn how to heal wounds but the woman came out too soon. I disappeared and the woman ran to the girl.

"I'm sorry Ms. Page." Page, her name is Page.

"You have failed me Bree." Page said, wow tough of her much?

I turned visible and sent a fireball right towards Page. Page looked at me with the fire engulfing her and after a while the fire ended. Page was still alive. Bree looked frightened and I motioned her to go. Page grabbed Bree and I grabbed Page.

Bree got away and started to run. Page turned to me and growled. I saw Page turn into a beast and I started to run. I teleported myself to be next to Bree and I grabbed Bree and teleported.

I didn't know where we would end up but it would surely be better than this.
