two months later five days until christmas
I sat in my room with the door locked writing away. I had so much on my mind and the only way to express it was in this spiral notebook. I had less than an hour before I left for work. Yep, work. My dad made me look for a job after we left two months ago from Williamsburg. I found a little day care job not too far from home. It was only a thirty minute drive. It was five-thirty in the morning, and I had to be at work by seven. They were nice people and worked with me even though I was still in highschool. Since school was out for Christmas break, there wasn't any inconveniences.
After I finished writing, I hid my diary and picked out my clothes for work. I showered, brushed my teeth, and curled my hair. I applied my lashes, then filled in my eyebrows. I felt today was going to be a long day, and its only been a month. Thank God today was Friday. The staff wanted to throw a Christmas party and have everyone participate in secret Santa.
I applied lipgloss and packed up my bag. I put my hat on, and my coat. These last couple of days had been so cold, and with me being anemic wasn't really helping anything. I thought about calling an uber or asking my dad to let me drive, but things between us wasn't good at all. His gambling problem had come back, he was drinking a lot more often, and we'd go days without speaking. I wasn't really hungry this morning like every other morning, decided to skip breakfast. My phone dinged taking me away from deep thoughts.
