Chapter 9

Nicole's POV

"And where have you been?!" A shadow sitting on the couch says as I was trying to sneak in the house. The figure reaches over to turn on a lamp and I start laughing.
"Fuck sake wynonna you scared the shit out me I though you where waverly at first." Wynonna gets off the couch and heads to the kitchen. I follow close behind and sit down at the table as she starts to put some pizza on a plate and putting it in the microwave to heat up. " how are you? Like after today?" I finnaly ask braking the silence.
" oh am fine. Waverley on the other hand. She's shocked I think. I mean going from not knowing anything to seeing you and king of the cunts. Standing off in the school car park." Wynonna puts her hand on my shoulder. " look nick you done good. You protected us. You kept your promise. But if champs gonna keep being a problem I will need to take it in to my own hands. Waverley's boyfriend or not."
"Ano ano I just don't know why he has started. On you. He hates me because am more popular both at school and the academy. He's hated me from the day my abilities became stronger." I let out a sigh as I put some pizza in my mouth. Urgggg am actually starving.
"You don't think I should like tell Waverley ? Do you." I ask hoping to get some advice. " you and I both seen what champ is capable off if he was to ever hurt her I would..."
"Hurt who?" Waverley says as she sleepyly walks in to the kitchen. She looks at me and immediately jumps in my arms kicking over my glass of water. "Omg your okay. Where the hell have you been. I though you where dead. There's wolfs. Like huge fudging wolfs. Ones on fire. It's massive." Waverley keeps rambling on but I've stop listen. I just hug her trying not to get to exited. But the fact I can feel her talking agents my neck is not the best thing right now let's just say.
"Hey Waverley how about letting Nicole go and taken a breath" wynonna says as she slugs down more of the whiskey bottle in her hand. Did she have that the whole time ? I sware she carries on around so much you don't even realise it.
I let go of Waverley but she keep a firm hold of me. I look at Wynonna and she gets the hint. She leaves us in the kitchen. I wrap my arms around Waverley and put my chin on her head. She's smells like strawberry's and cream. I could definitely get use to this. "Waves what's wrong" I ask just to be answered by a shake of the head. I pull her away from my body just enough to see her face but not to much where we would have to let go. I look in to her eyes and I can see she's scared. I pull her back in and hold her tightly.
"Waves am sorry I wasn't there. When you saw the wolfs. Am sorry you felt so frighten." I let out a small sigh hoping just to hear her voice.
I hear a small sniff. And I just pulled closer to me.
"I just .. I though something happen. To you and when you didn't return any of my messages or that I started to panic. I always lose the people I love I can't lose you" now she starts crying alittle harder. Did she just say she loves me. Not now Nicole. Focus. "Hey I left my phone in my locker waves sorry it totally slipped my mind. But am home now okay. How about we go get some sleep. You look like you could sleep for Canada the now" I say getting a small laugh and nod from waverly. I go to put my dish in the sink I'll wash it in the morning.
"Oh I found this in the bathroom. I hope you don't mind. But I put it on to keep it safe" I turn round to see what she's talking about that's when I saw my bracelet round her wrist. It's fitted perfectly to mine but looks so big on hers. "Aw thanks. How about you keep it safe for a bit longer. And I'll get it back in the morning" I say as I watch her smile become bright once again. She's no longer scared. For now at least and that's a small victory.
"Is . I mean would that be okay?" She asks kinda nervous
"Yea. I take it off for bed anyway so may as well have it in safe hands" I say as we start to walk up the stars. "Hey nick a word please" I can hear wynonna from her room. "Well night waves. Stay safe" with that said I go in to wys room and shut the door. "So. You propose to my sister with out asking me eh?" She says while attacking me with a pillow.
"Hey stop it's not gonna be funny when you have a coke bucket of water over your head tomorrow." And with that am takled on to the floor. "Oh yea you and what army" Wynonna starts to tickle me and I sware I might actually pee my self "stop please. I can't. Omg wynonna. Stop. Ahhhh. Waverly. Help. She's ahhhh tickling me ahhhh"
"Stop being a baby and take it like a man." She says laughing. I mange you get my legs round her waste and flip us over now am on top " oh now your in trouble."

Waverly pov

Am happy she's home. Being in her arms felt right. It felt like home. But why do I feel like she's keep long something from me. She looked in to my eyes earlier as I looked back in hers I could see she's hiding Something but what. Am brough out my thoughts I can hear wynonna shouting. "Help she's trying to covert me to lesbian-ism. Help god please ahhhhh" with that I walk in on wynonna and Nicole in the middle of a tickle war. " waverly save ahhhh your self." Wynonna gets out before playing dead on the floor. I look at Nicole and she's just shaken her head laughing. "What a Galla haha" she says I look at her with confusion. She starts to walk out the room but stops just next to me and whispers in my ear. " it's Scottish Gaelic. Your not the only one who knows more than one language." I look at her and she has a cocky smile on her face. Oh why is she so kissable. I look back at a somewhat drunk wynonna. " so lesbian-ism eh?" I say cocking an eyebrow " oh yea she has a power point presentation ready and everything. Even wee mini pried badges" she's smiling at me.
"Wow am just going to bed, try not to fall out of bed again tonight. Don't know how many more hits your head can take" I start to walk out the room when I hear wynonna say something " hey waves wait .. you dropped something" I look on the floor as she came over and bent down in front of me " it's your gay card through you would want it back. Her bed "wynonna shut up. I sware I will kill you if you stay anything to her. She the most popular kid in school. She's way out my league. And plus am erm fuck" I say as I flip on the bed " have you ever known someone and just felt like your where made for each other." I say looking at my sister hoping for some advice " waves I know you broke up with champ today. And I know it's because of your feelings for Nicole. Plus. You know Nicole better than anyone. Popular or not the kid follows her heart. Maybe try telling her how you feel you never know she could feel the same."
I sigh and shake my head " what if she doesn't?"
"Well you won't know till you say. She follows her heart maybe you should finally listen to yours". Wynonna gives me a hug and a reassuring smile. " thanks wy. Night" with that I head to bed. Stopping for a few second looking at Nicole's door. Soon. I'll tell her soon. I just down know how.
