I still remember the day I had to cut my hair for school. All my life, I have attended a private school in Ghana. The schooling system in Ghana is weird because if you go to either private or public school, you will have to cut your hair before entering Junior High School(8th grade to junior year ).
Well, I had the Longest natural hair in my family, and it's not easy to handle it so, I loved to flaunt it. To me, my hair was everything. When my school director told me I also have to shave it despite leaving the school the next year. He told me, and I quote, "girls get distracted from schoolwork by playing with their hair" It angered me but, I had no say in it.
My aunt cut my hair for me before I went to the barber. After cutting my hair, I realized I had a small face but I still looked beautiful.
