Memories Don't Fade

As the snowfall on a winter night,
I embraced the memories of the past.
Sweet and sour, it had all sorts of taste,
Yet I cherished them all with delight.

For it brought back the memories of you,
The first time I held you,
The first time I kissed you.
The first time you smiled,
The first time you cried.

To the time when you left,
To follow your dreams.
I cried silent tears, vain screams,
With a pang of sadness,
I was left distressed.

Years had passed,
The grief has passed
And all that was left,
Was the memories of the past.

But memories don't fade, dear.
Afterall, grief and pain,
Was a Mother's blessing and curse.
But the memories which remained,
Was rather sweet with a tinge of remorse.

Afterall, the moment she bore him her her womb,
She also bore him in her heart.
