The Fourth Pack [Book 3]

Chapter 13

The crowd of dogs gasped at Snow's Challenge.

"What did you say?" Storm asked unsure

"You know what I just say" Snow growled "I challenge you, and when I win you leave the forests forever"

"And if I win, I kill you and both BravePack and ForestPack leave the forests"

Snow heard Coco whine and gasp in shock. She understood what she was going through, BravePack was at stake as well, but this is something that was long over due. The dogs around them back up forming a circle as Snow and Storm circled off in the middle. As she trotted in the a circle, Snow glanced over at Stormfall's limp body then back at Storm who was in front of her as the two dogs faced each other in the center. Snow attacked first aiming for a blow to her enemies neck but Storm dodged and countered by sinking his teeth into her side. Snow let out a yelp turning around to face Storm.
"You should have never left your humans!" He taunted "should have stayed in the safety of your humans den"

"I'm glad I left, even if I had to deal with you everyday!"

"Well you won't have to deal with me everyday anymore" Storm finished lunging at Snow with great speed, he opened his jaws wide grasping hold of her neck. Snow fell back, struggling to get up. She felt Storm slowly bite hard and she grew weaker and weaker before she finally fell limp against the cold ground. 

Belle's POV

Belle's eyes widened as she shot up and yelled in horror "NO!" She shifted her weight to fly forward but was stopped by Sprint. Storm lifted Snow off the ground and turned to face the crowd of dogs. He laid her down, then howled his victory. No dog cheered accept for some of the strongest rouges and two StormPack loyalist, Danger and Nail. Belle sat down staring directly at her mothers limp body. 

"You all know the deal" Storm began "You all heard it, BravePack and ForestPack must leave now" He continued "You all may stay the night in your formal camps and leave the next day" 

There was a moment of silenced but it was broken by the ForestPack Alpha, Coco. She stepped forward as the dogs of her pack stepped aside. "Not if I have anything to say about" She growled "The forest is our home, we are no longer CityPack but ForestPack. We will not be forced from our territory again" She raised her head high "I will challenge you, under the same rules as Snow had" 

Storm let out a snort of laughter "You, well this will be a breeze" He stepped back letting Coco into the circled that he and Snow had made. Coco had no chance of beating Storm, she couldn't defeat him when they first came to the forest, and surely she couldn't now? Belle sat back down, her fur still bristling as the two dogs took their stance.
