This short story was original finished on 12/5/2016

A few days ago, I was able to obtain the original file(s), and have decided to publish this work here on Wattpad.

This is the raw, first draft of a short story originally intended to go into a collection written by myself for a series that I have since changed drastically.  While this is no longer a canon story connected to the chronicles of Talpha (which at the time of writing this in 2016 was called the World of Giladriis)

Because this is the first draft, very little to no editing has been done on it. There will be some typos, errors, and there may even be a plot hole or some details that don't quite match up. For those I apologize, for at the time of writing this in 2016 I did not have the funds available to properly edit this work. If you desire to, please feel free to message me any major holes you find. I appreciate any feedback, as its the only way I can grow.

I do still want to share it so that when the final work for the Chronicles of Telpha comes out, those who read it can look back and see how much the original idea had grown and changed. This is for a few reasons.

1: To other new writers out there, do not get down on yourself if your first work does not become something. Do not fear to change some things, or everything, as new ideas flow and updates to old ones come to mind. I have written an entire book and about five or six half books that will never see the light of day again because they did not amount to what I desired them to be. Always stay hyped to write, even if your work does not seem perfect right away.

2: In the rare event that my might becomes known, I thought it would be a cool little thing for the reader or for myself to look back and see where it all came from, What started as a random idea in the middle of the night that I jotted down a few notes in the empty spaces on a cramped page ended up becoming this, which ended up become the bases used for a while book series that's in the works. Maybe its just me, but that seems so cool to be able to see the process of a writer.

Credit for the artwork used as my temporary cover belong to Antonis Papantoniou. To the best of my knowledge, this is the name of the original creator. If I have this information wrong, all credit to the work belongs to the original creator. I do not take claim or credit for the work, and intend to eventually replace this work with some cover work I am trying to get done now. Check out more of Antonis Papantoniou's work by typing his name into google. He has a lot of good stuff out there.

Without further, I hope you enjoy the first draft of The Paladin's Squire
