Bailey's POV

"Sweetie I'm so glad you came." She said with tears in her eyes.

"Me too." I said, wiping my cheeks and sitting down in a chair next to her bed.

"I'm so sorry for how I always treated you about Josh. I never should have compared you two. You are your own beautiful person who I love." She said, grabbing my hand.

"It's okay Mom. I love you too." I said, smiling.

"So tell me everything I've missed!" She said, happily.

"Well I go to a University in London now and I have my own flat. I just applied for a babysitting and daycare job and I don't know if I got it yet." I said.

"That awesome honey but I was asking about something juicy like romance." She said giggling.

"Well there isn't much romance in my life anymore. I stopped dating because I was hurt a lot." I said plainly.

"What about friends?" She asked.

"I don't live on campus so I don't really socialize a lot with people from school." I explained.

"Outside of school?" She asked.

"Um well." I looked down, and Harry flashed into my mind.

"I met this one guy. His name is Harry. We met on a bus actually." I said, laughing.

"Couples do meet in the weirdest places. Your father and I met at McDonalds." She laughed.

"We aren't a couple." I said quickly.

"Then why did you blush when you said his name?" She pushed one.

"I don't know." I said defensively.

"You like him." She said quickly.

"No, I don't. He's shown interest in me and I rejected him because I am not dating anymore. And that's that. We are friends and nothing more." I said.

"But you want it to be more." She said.

"No I don't, Mom! It was my choice not to date him." I whined.

"Honey, I can tell you have feelings for him. Be honest with me and tell me if you do." She said, quietly.

"Well," I thought about everything. When I first saw him on the bus and I thought he was breathtaking. And then when he was tweeting me that night I couldn't help but smile. And when we kissed, I didn't want to push him away but I felt like I had to. And that food fight was so much fun. I have fun whenever I'm with him.

"Yeah. I do. I think I'm in love with him, Mom." I whispered shakily, looking down at my fiddling hands.

When I looked up she was smiling at me. "Then you should go for it."

"But mom I have had my heart broken way to many times." I said.

"What has he done to show interest in you?" She asked.

"Well he has kissed me, but I pushed him away. He's told me how much he cared about me and that he has dreams about me. He was mad when I told him how many guys have hurt me, because he felt like they ruined his chance with me. He told me he could fix me." I whispered the last sentence, because I felt so stupid. No guy has ever fought for me this much and I'm still blocking Harry out.

"I think you love him. So much that you're afraid. You're afraid that you are falling to hard and he will hurt you. But that's the thing with love. We have to take risks to find the one." She said soothingly.

I nodded, "What do I do?"

"When you go back home, tell him how you feel. And that you will be with him." She said it like it was simple.

"He got a new girlfriend though." I mumbled.

"It was probably just a distraction." She explained, and she was probably right.

The doctors came in and told me I need to leave so they could do their daily test. I gave my mom a hug and a kiss and left.

I turned my phone on and saw a missed call and a voice mail from Harry. I listened to it right away.

"Er hey Bailey. I hope everything is okay. I just broke up with Tracey. Never realized how much of a clingy bitch she was...Uh I miss you? Wow I just called someone else clingy when I'm clingy to a girl that I'm not even dating. Well uh bye. Shit that was awkward. Damn it how you do hang up this thing." I smiled at the voicemail and then walked to Josh in the waiting room.

I couldn't wait to get home and tell Harry how I feel. My mom made me realize that I was just hiding my feelings because I was scared.

I'm not scared anymore. I'm in love.
