Epilogue

Skeppy put his phone down and looked at the pocket watch he had left on the desk the night before. It was significantly smaller now, dangling from a new chain. It seemed to be some sort of necklace. He put it in his pocket before walking downstairs with Bad.

At that moment, they heard a knock at the front door. Skeppy opened the door to see... "Angel?" He was carrying a single box.

"Hey there. Mind if I come in?"

Skeppy stepped aside. "What's in the box?"

He set the box on the table near the door. "All my belongings. Everything I own."

"All in that box?"

"I travel light, y'know?"

"Why have you got it here?"

Angel looked down at the box. "We saved the world, but I got fired from my job in the process."

"Fired?"

"I'm no longer a guardian."

"But you're still an angel?"

"As far as I know," he said, spreading his wings out behind him. "Anyways, can I live here for a little bit?"

"You would have to ask-"

"Yes!" Emma said from behind Skeppy.

"Sure," Bad said at the same time.

"Thanks! I'm taking Skeppy's room!"

"Wait what?" Skeppy wanted to fight to keep his room, but he realized he didn't need it.

"You sleep with Bad, you'll be fine."

Skeppy blushed, but knew Angel was right. Skeppy turned around to find Emma staring at Angel's wings.

"I'll explain later," he said before heading upstairs. "Oh, and Skeppy?"

"Yeah?"

"Keep the watch."

That day, Skeppy and Bad returned to the beach. Sitting on a bench staring out over the water, they planned to settle everything.

Bad asked Skeppy the question Skeppy had been asking for weeks. "Who am I to you, Skeppy?"

Skeppy looked over at Bad. "What is it that you want me to say? You're my boyfriend? Is that it?"

Bad shrugged. "If that's what you want."

"Yes... Yes, I'd like that."

"Then that's what we'll be," he smiled before leaning over and kissing Skeppy.

Skeppy leaned his head on Bad's shoulder as they watched the waves lapping the shore. It had definitely been an eventful few months, but Skeppy didn't regret a single thing, as it had all led up to him being together with his favorite person in the world.

"I love you, Bad."

"I love you too, Skeppy."
