Simple as that, his whole family knew it, especially his brother, Koushi Sugawara.
He was only trying to sneak off to go to school when his pant leg was clutched.
He felt another hand go around his leg and looked down to see his 1 year old little brother.
Mornings were really difficult in the Sugawara household, they all tried to keep it consistent, setting routines, and following said routines perfectly, they never could get over the mornings though.
Sugawara Koushi sighed as he bent down and got near his younger brother's teary face, translucent tears sliding down slowly as he pouted while looking up at Sugawara. He shook his head, not yet having picked up how to speak.
"Haru, i have to go to school" Sugawara gently chided, gripping his brothers chubby hands in his and prying them off.
Harutos pout got deeper, his shining light brown eyes along with his chubby cheeks looking cuter. Sugawara smiled gently, not having the heart to get mad at his little brother, he reached under his armpits and lifted him up, hugging him to his chest and wiping away his tears with his handkerchief.
He walked to the living room where some cute kid cartoons were playing, picking up Haruto's bunny plushie and offering it to him to take. He then sat down on the couch and rocked him softly, pushing him into his chest and holding the back of his head as he kept rocking him to sleep.
A few minutes later, soft silent snores were heard, Sugawara separating him from his chest to see his eyes closed and a small smile on his face, small puffs of air escaping his small baby lips. He smiled and stood up, putting him in his little playpen surrounded by pillows and blankets, he pressed one small kiss to his forehead and walked off, saying goodbye to his mother in the kitchen and walking out the door on his way to school.

Hours later Sugawara sighed as he sat down and wiped away sweat with the back of his hand, lifting his water bottle up to his lips and drinking from it.
It was now afternoon practice and they were taking a small break, the rest of his team sat around in a circle as they caught their breaths.
Small chatter ran around the room as Sugawara lightly frowned, Daichi next to him raised a brow and turned to Asahi who shrugged.
"Suga..everything okay?" he spoke, resting a hand on the latters shoulder.
Sugawara looked up, slightly startled, before nodding his head, "im fine, i just miss Haruto and want to go home already"
By now the rest of the gym had quieted, everyone else looking at Sugawara as he spoke.
"Haruto? Who's that?" Hinata's voice rang around the gym as he curiously tilted his head.
"Yeah, who's Haruto?" Tanaka echoed, eagerly waiting for Sugawara to explain.
