It was a good day.
I got to sit beside you.
And I talked to you.
Even though you weren't talking,
you seemed to be listening to me.
"You speak English?" you seemed
surprised.
"I do" I said, looking at you.
The rest of the day went on, just like this.
Just you and me.
And, I finally walked you
home.
The way home was all silent.
It was just you and me walking
along the road, with the pitter patter
of the rain.
It was a comfortable
silence.
We both liked it.
