The surgery was completed and a success, the child's Orangutan was pregnant with ONLY a
human embryo (Layla's child) not her own embryo. The artificial hormones worked on both
Layla and her Orangutan! Poor Layla sat weeping desolately clutching her Orangutan. She didn't
understand why they kept making her endure torture. They said that it was over until after Aairie
(her Orangutan) had given birth to her baby. And that would be about 9 months so she had time
to recover. Then Cora came in and told Layla that when the baby was born it would be her job to
take care of it until it was old enough to be experimented on. Then, she promptly left.
