Once inside, it was pretty dark so when Elizabeth found a lantern lying beside a dead body, she went to pick it up but was scared by the animatronic springing to life and giving a message:
"Too rare is the man who takes a stand, for God and sweetest Fatherland! But here's the place where we revere the heroes of our city dear!" it said before turning itself off
"There are no heroes in war, just survivors, butchers, and colonizers." I commented on what the animatronic said before we both headed in.
I quickly checked the room we were in before heading into the glorified statue of Comstock room in front of us. We saw a dead man with a knife on his back on the ticket counter as I took the knife as a means to use for stealth. When I got into the back to collect a voxaphone, two of Slate's men entered as I crouched down and waited for the second guy to come up behind him. Once I saw the second guy, I quietly snuck up to him and slit and stab his throat before throwing his body away to grab the other guy's attention. When he turned around, I launched myself towards him with my Sky-Hook and snapped his neck with it.
I searched the bodies to find no knife holster so I just holster it in my pants at the back. We then proceeded to head inside the room where Comstock's statue was in the middle of it as the PA turned on.
"Who are you? How did you get past my men?! Are you one of Comstock's tin men?!"
"Slate? Look pal, I just the Shock Jockey Vigor, okay? No need for violence! I get the vigor and you can go on your holy crusade against Comstock, how 'bout that?" I told him.
"Hmm... you crave no glory... like Coporal Booker DeWitt. A fine man he was, it's a shame he died. And you... I can see so much Booker in you, boy! That tin soldier, Comstock, wants my boys dead. WE WON'T DIE AT HIS HANDS!" he shouted
"Ah, fuck! Liz, get ready!" I said as I cocked my shotgun ready.
"All my men have left is a choice: die at the hands of a tin soldier, or by a man who I believe... is A REAL SOLDIER!" he ended his monologue as his men came bursting from the right side of the doors, swarmed in to kill us.
I quickly dispatched all of them by using Bucking Bronco vigor to lift them and kill them with a shotgun blast as they were all sent down in such a forceful way. One more came out as I shot his head clean off, ending the first wave.
"I knew it! You see?! I knew you were a soldier when I laid my eyes on you, boy! Like it or not!" Slate said
"C'mon, Slate! You know I didn't want any of this to happen just give us the Shock Jockey!"
"If you want the vigor, boy, you will give my men a soldier's death. They wait for you in Wounded Knee and Peking." he said as the door behind Comstock's statue opened.
We went inside to see two exhibits: "The Battle at Wounded Knee" and "The Boxer's Rebellion". In front of us was the Lady Comstock Memorial exhibit but it was closed so I first head into Wounded Knee as we walk the path of this exhibit.
"The tin soldier has taken credit for the deeds of the real ones. Now, Corporal Booker DeWitt wrapped himself in glory on December 29th, 1890." Slate stated
"What does he mean?" Elizabeth asked me.
"You REALLY don't wanna know." I told her as we kept on heading into the exhibit.
We reached the near end of the exhibit as statues of the native Americans being "savages" were shown here. Before I headed into the main event, I went inside the employee area to take out one of Slate's men and grab gear along with RPG ammo. After that was settled, we headed inside, passing through another discriminating statue and now into a room with a patriot animatronic like the one we encountered at the entrance as it powered itself on when I pulled the lever, and began to speak:
