Y/n's POV

I woke up to a loud banging on the door. I rubbed my eyes and got out of bed. I saw that Spot was passed out.

"What?" I asked rubbing my eyes as I opened the door to see Bruce

"Skiddy's dead." He said with his face going white

"What?" I asked still half asleep

"Skiddy, leader of Harlem dead on bridge." He said like I was dumb

"We'll be there in second." I said suddenly waking up all the way

"Spot wake up." I said nudging him with my arm

"Wake up." I said again and only heard him groan

"Spot, Youse needs ta wake up." I said shaking him this time

"Good morning." He said groggily

"Morning. Wes needs ta get to tha bridge. Bruce just said they found Skiddy dead." I said

"Okay." He sighed

Spot wasn't even awake enough to hear what I had said all the way. He just got up and started getting ready.

Spot's POV

Y/n just woke me up. I don't even think I'm fully awake right now. All I heard her say was wes needs ta get to the bridge. So I started getting ready.

"Why are we goin' to the bridge?" I asked as she was buttoning up her shirt

"Bruce found Skiddy's body." She said sounding happy at the words

He's dead! He's dead, he's dead, he's dead! The bitch is dead! I'm just upset it wasn't me that killed him.

"Skiddy's dead." I liked the way those words came out of my mouth

"Yep." She said hugging me from behind

"Huh." I smiled as I put my cap on
(I feel weird about this part. Like I know they should be happy but, I just killed a kid in a story......if they feel awkward about the situation it's my fault and I'm sorry)

Fox's POV

When we got to the bridge Skiddy's lifeless body was laying there.

"Who would do this?" Someone asked

I looked up and saw her on the roof.

"I'll be back." I said before leaving Spot's side

I climbed up the roof quickly.

"Rose!" I said excitedly taking in the girls presence

"Fox, oh my god you're okay." The taller girl said hugging me

Rose is an old friend from New Jersey. Not many people know that's where I was born. Rose was the one who was always there for me. Rose was the one who taught me how to fight. She would be ashamed if I told her about Skiddy but, considering the fact that she killed him made me feel like she knew.

"How did you know about Skiddy? And how did you know where I was?" I asked suddenly having so many questions

She stepped back and we sat down with our legs dangling off the roof.

"Before you left you said you were thinking about heading to Brooklyn. I then talked you out of it. And knowing you I figured that you wouldn't take my advice." She laughed playing with her hands

"Well, I did listen to Youse. I found my aunt who passed away shortly. Then I found my real parents....." I got to the part about me getting kidnapped and froze

"What?" She asked noticing

"That kid you killed, he kidnapped me. I was "his" for three years. But, I escaped. Then, I became a Newsie. Not long after. Then, I met the love of my life." I smiled

"Who?! Oh my god you have to tell me!" She said getting excited

"First, you have to tell me why you killed Skiddy. I mean thanks but, why'd Youse do it?" I asked

"I saw your interaction on the bridge last night. I knew he wasn't a good dude so, I killed him." She said

Rose was like superhero without powers(like Batman).She was a life saver that was probably a wanted criminal but, she was a life saver.

"So, love of your life. Which one is he?" She asked looking down at the newsies that were on the bridge

"The far right, keeping his distance. Green shirt top three buttons unbuttoned, slingshot in back pocket and cane in belt loop." I smiled not even having to look down at him

"Holy shit. Girl he's hot." She laughed

"Don't stare, it's rude." I joked

"Can I meet the lucky fella?" Rose asked

Sorry this ones super short. I was writing this while in class and then got a 65 on my science test and couldn't be any more out of the mood to write anymore. Also the whole 'the bitch is dead' part....I told myself not to write that part in but, it slipped in there and is also the title so......yeah, sorry for that too...I couldn't help myself 😂.
