She awakens.

My eyes opened slowly. My head throbbed as if someone bashed it with a hammer. Everything was silent besides the machine that goes beep beep beep, no clue what the hell it's called. The same beep sounds that came out from that machine rang in my ears until it stopped at a reasonable tone and volume.

It took me about 3 minutes to finally try to sit up through the aches on my head and neck. I'm pretty sure it made it worse because I immediately felt more weak and slightly dizzy. I let it wear off for a while.

As I felt a bit better, I wondered what was happening and where I was. I slowly looked around from left to right and finally came across a boy sleeping on a chair a few feet away from my bed. I don't know how I didn't see him there in the beginning because he was as visible as the pipes leading into my body through my arms. He was wearing a black and grey hoodie which looked really nice if I must say so myself, his light brown hair was covered by the hood, his hand holding his head up like a pillar. I may not have known who he was but he looked fine as hell, even though he was sleeping and he may have been drooling just a teeny tiny bit.

I heard people talking from a distance. Then I heard footsteps getting closer... And closer... And closer, until it stopped at the door. It was a woman. No, it was a nurse. Her beautiful black skin stood out, her eyes were brown with a slight tint of silver and she had a diamond ring on her left hand ring finger. The extraordinary curls of her hair covered half of her face. She was looking down at the clipboard in her hand and using the pen in her other hand to fill in something that I never got to sneak a peek at. She was mumbling to herself, she was so loss in her own world that she didn't yet realise me sitting up and perfectly fine. Okay, no. I was not perfectly fine, my head was still terribly aching and I couldn't seem to move my neck too much because I felt as if it were to snap. Besides, I'm pretty sure there's stitches on it as far as my eyes can see.

The woman checked some stuff by the table near the window, to the left of the bed. She opened draws, pulled things out, put them back, closed draws, she even came right next to the bed but her eyes were glued to her paperwork. She still hadn't noticed me. I finally decided to do something, I mean she must've been here to check on me, right? So I cleared my throat. Poor woman, I feel kind of bad for her. She looked up,  her eyes widened. The shock in her eyes made me want to laugh.. but I didn't. But the woman was so shocked that she almost fell backwards but caught her balance just in time.

When she finally realised what was happening, she said "Holy-- hold on, sweetie. I'll be right back." And was out  the door. I could hear her conversation with someone else from down the hall.

" I need to make a call," said the nurse.

"Rose, I'm not letting you use the hospital phone for your own personal usage. You got me into trouble the last time for lying to him about it." A voice replied.
I'm guessing she's either another nurse or the receptionist.

"I know but I'm not going to call anyone involved in my 'personal' life, well-- maybe. I need to call Mr and Mrs Miller. Thei--"

"Wait-- Miller? As in the kid who fell into a... Ya know... a deep sleep?" The woman asked.

"She's not a kid anymore. And yes. She woke up."

"Then why are you just standing there! Make the call!"

Without having to look for any of my files, she dialed the number -- as though she knew it off by heart-- and waited...

On the phone ...

"Stephanyyyy, hiii. It's me, Rose. I'm calling from the hospital...You don't even knowww. I need you and Mike to drop by in about two hours, if that's okay...Okay, thank you... No, everything's fine. I have to go now, Steph. I'll explain everything when you get over here, Bye."
